monday again??

how lame is that title?

i find though that if you emphasize it like a whiny 80's sitcom character would it instantly becomes funny...

observe..

"monday agaaainnnnn???"

(laugh track)

we've had some awesome weather here over the last few weeks..

warm and in the high 70's/low 80's.

i didn't complain about sweating once.

in fact i enjoyed my glistening stink.

of course today it's windy and cold (the worst).

but i am still high on the warmth..

i actually ordered some climbing roses from a nursery!

THESE.

i thought i would bring a little of that springy happiness to you, via my "outside" pinterest...

and nothing makes me happier than a moodboard...

super porch.

points of interest:

rug- plastic from HERE.

elephant table- HERE.

happy monday!!

 agaaaaainnnnn.

That top picture is one of my favorite outside "rooms" ever ever ever. As soon as I can figure out how to make my backyard look like that, I'm doing it.

You ordered roses too? I ordered this one: https://www.antiqueroseemporium.com/roses/1031/peggy-martin
It is being called the Katrina rose because it was the only surviving plant in a garden after flooding from Katrina. No thorns and very hardy and will be hard for me to kill. I am growing it on a big ugly fence.

roses make me happy! i have an antique rose that exact same color in my front bed and LOVE it. sometimes it looks pink, sometimes white. i need a climber for some drama!

Jenny you will love these roses. New dawn is my favorite and you must look at the site posted above by Isolde. And also a company -Hierloom Roses. Both of these are great resources for old roses, which do much better than any new versions. You can sometimes find new dawn at Home Depot but not often. Put in a place ok for big, cause in a couple of years this rose will be huge and gorgeous!

hey, nice post... I was missing your design comments... been busy down here, so I would just quickly look up for new stuff, and now... really really amazing designs... the blue place is my favorite, by far. clean couches, old blue walls/ceiling/floors... I kind of adored it. thanks for that.

I looked at roses today at Home Depot and I'm glad I didn't buy the pink climbing Zepherine Drouhin (sp?), I like that New Dawn better! I did buy 1 each of 4 different tomatoes that I am going to go stab in the ground right now. Beautiful outdoor spaces, I am obsessing over faux bamboo these days!

I think outdoor spaces might be my favorite...Wondering if I could get my husband to build those couches in photo two if he has almost never built anything anything before in his life.. Will send picture if he does..

I need climbing roses. Hopefully they'll do ok with lots of wind. Thanks for the inspiration.

Pinning you like crazy here. Love the top room/yard picture.

Glad you are buying roses. They will help to keep you well. Sweet rose petal baths then to go out and sit on those gorgeous porches. Now I am seriously considering trying to do some thing nice for our front porch. Right now it is a 6K cat bed. LOL

I really, really, hope to own that rose covered chicken coop one day.
When I catch that asshole fox that's been killin' all my chickens (and peacocks, and swans) he will make a beautiful stole.
