First, love the new looksi over here...the colour and your painting are tops. I think the marble table must happen and the sofa could be indeed fabulous - velvet!

that pink couch in deep blue velvet... I would pee on it to make it mine!

I love the china cabinet/drawer thing. It would look fantastic in white, though it does look like it's got a shit ton of lacquer on it, so it'll probably take a lot of elbow grease to sand it down. The wicker piece will be dreamy on your porch. The sofa has great lines. Is there anything that doesn't look good in deep blue velvet?? Do it.

I'm not sold on the coffee table, but I love when people like you (i.e. people with more vision/skill/guts than me) prove me wrong. Go for it.

All of the above.

love it all. please get that cabinet!

I actually have that exact cabinet in my dining room acting as a pantry. I think the flash is messing with the finish, IRL it's ebony, not brown. Really, just a shade off of black. But white sounds sexy as hell. It's solid as can be, holds a ton, and really has presence. I wonder how much the seller is asking cause I picked my up at a yard sale over the summer. I saw it from the street and couldn't get out of the car fast enough. Then I saw the big FREE sign on it. That was a very good day. And by the way, it an American of Martinsville piece, if you want to do a little research.
That sofa is very good. I would probably tell my husband that I would reupholster it, and then keep it as it is forever.

Did you buy all these goodies? I love them. Leather for the low couch.

February 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTrish

yes to the white dining room shit holder!!!!! and yes to the wicker porch fun. i love the shape. the cats will, too. that couch looks like it's a mile log, which will be amazing for the tv room. you'll have to convince me on the marble top table.

February 22, 2013 | Unregistered Commentertobe | because it's awesome

I love ALL of them. (Well, to be honest I only like the wicker thing because it's for a cat hangout. Otherwise, not my personal taste. I lived through those in the 80s. haha)

Number one, I'm thinking no. I like the legs and the brass detail, but the top does not do anything for me. Maybe with a different top because that one screams bad '80s to me, but otherwise no. Everything else, yes. Gray velvet for the couch? I guess that depends on where it's going and what else is in that room.

Exciting! I hope you can get ALL of them! What a fabulous shopping spree that would be.

Um Yum. Yum yum. Yum yum yum yum yum. Dayum. That's a lot of yums. I could see that second one in a lacquer finish for sure. Maybe a pop of color, depending on the rest of the interior, though. Sometimes white is just blah and you loose all the details. The chairs in the third picture. Yes. Get them now, damnit. I like the couch, and surprisingly I like the rest of the space in that picture as well. I would live there. It would be fun. And I would have a blast with all that space.

Much Love,
Trissta

The coffee table... just, no.
Everything else is bueno. Yes, for velvet on that sofa.

February 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAndrea

Try not to get murdered when you go to look at the couch.

February 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterZakary

i'm in love with that sofa. so honestly, how much would it cost to reupholster a bear like that? i always figured it would be so expensive that buying brand new was more affordable...no?

February 22, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterteresa

Big honkin' yes to number 2. Blue velvet sofa, yum. Less excited by the table and wicker but I am sure you could make them both look fantastic.

February 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLittle Edie

I think you could upholster the sofa in just about anything and it would look good! It does seem really long, though, be sure it fits your room. (I'm still living with MY too-long sofa!)

February 23, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterWendy

This coffee table? No. Unless you are going to snort cocaine off of it with Joan Collins and a blazer with shoulder pads the size of Wisconsin...or replace the offensive base. Everything else is awesome, especially the amazing (wait, I mean AMAZING) chairs.

February 23, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermar

ummmm. yes. yes. yes and yes. biggest no brainer are those chairs. then the sofa. then cabinet. oh,coffee table, maybe. where are you finding all these!???

February 23, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterkarrie kaneda

That couch is rad, blue velvet yes, like a dark navy mohair. That table could be cool in the right setting with the right furniture. That couch in blue velvet would not be the right furniture.

February 23, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBdeckba

Do you know the label on the sofa?
I love it and want to find one!
Thanks so much for your help.

Love the sofa and the coffee table and the (plywood?) chairs, but I can't un-see the swastikas in the cabinet...

February 24, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRobin

That sofa looks like something really important. Nab it. Now!

I wanted to share something with you...in a past post you were looking at wall colors and one of your options/choices was a navy blue. Well, I was at an Open House today and 2 of the bedrooms were done in the most BEAUTIFUL navy blue and it was absolutely gorgeous! There was one room that had a western exposure and it was stunning...and another room that had an eastern exposure, and tho it was much darker in appearance, it was still wonderful.
Ok, so now you know MY choice for your room color! With White trim... :)

You need that cabinet. It looks like the perfect proportion for your dining room. Paint it a creamy white with gold trim and a bright, fun color on the inside of the cabinet and the drawers. It would be more work, but mirrors on the doors?
