here i was thinking that portland would be all full of coolness.
unfortunately portlanders know their stuff and price it with a 1stdibs realness.
i managed to find a few pretty kewl things,
but not a lot.
(truthfully i was in a bit of a hurry and didn't have quite the time to dedicate to a down and dirty, thorough search using all my black magic.)
need a mid century piece?
portland craigslist has it.
prepare to pay $$$ tho.
it's on the pricy side for CL but it could be magnificent.
your heart is telling you gold leaf.
but i am telling you silver leaf in a room full of creams and whites.
i know what you are thinking...EW. it's so orange.
but i see it painted and holding books.
this is cute and simple.
i LOVE this coffee table.
this is a great deal and a great project for you.
your little country mouse house needs this table.
cheap and gets the job done.
holidays are coming.
don't act like you don't secretly love it.
siamese cat lamp WITH LIGHT UP EYES $135.
i freaking LOVE these.
i think they are super cool.
i would use them in a minimal, axel vervoordt type space.
jesus take the wheel, but, i am participating in the one room challenge as a linking participant.
there are 20 bloggers posting every wednesday for 6 weeks and then the linking party people (me) posting every thursday for 6 weeks.
i am terrified because that is a really short amount of time.
i am not doing anything major in terms of knocking down or ripping out, ok, well, we are ripping out something but it's not structurally changing anything.
blah blah blah...come back tomorrow to read all about it.
in the mean time...
visit here for a full run down of what in the hell i am talking about and links to all the brave bloggers and designers who are taking on this challenge.
come back tomorrow!!
i'm a little skeered.
will need hugs AND drugs.
