speaking of kitchens....

any chemex users out there? i bought one yesterday wo filters so had to use 3 regular filters.

i ordered filters specifically for the chemex via amazon but until they arrive the 3 layered up work in a pinch.

the coffee wasn't bitter as promised, but it lacked body. in other words it was kind of bland.

i used more than the prescribed amount of coffee bc i like it strong so it wasn't that.

i am wondering if it filtered out the oils? 

anyone have any chemex wisdom to spread?
