i don't post about it much much...but the truth is i love fashion week.

new york, london, milan and paris. i get so excited!

but i love to see the street style way more than the actual designers and their new clothes.

i love to see the clothes on real people. and i love the way that these bloggers, stylists, journalists etc...put their spin on things. it's mega motivating.

so i have decided to post out the week with my favorite looks from each city.

starting with new york.

my favorites are always the ones who's looks are interesting but totally wearable down the street of any town USA. specifically at NWFW. the looks were very casual. (it's always all about the shoes) i suspect they were all waiting to blow their load at paris FW.

i'm into...

1. my friend ashley has created some of the most beautiful wallpaper i have ever seen.

2. beat up farm tables. one and two. i found a bunch actually and will share later this week.

3. silky-satin blouses with jeans. black blouse + jeans. yellow blouse + jeans.

4. bold sofas. i am over white and plain with gobs of pillows. this one from 1st dibs is out of my range but take a peek, that original bargello ikat in person and up close is good.

5. vintage french enamel canisters. these. these. these. please.

6. oushak rugs for the bathroom. looking at this one this one and this one.

this pic is me about 1.5 hours past the point i needed to just stop.

i learned a few valuable lessons which is pretty pathetic considering i am 40+...

don't get your drunkest the night before the wedding.

seeing old friends brings out the best/worst in me.

trying ALL the different types of wine the world has to offer isn't supersmart.

nor is smoking cigarettes when you don't smoke.

that dress was great though. great, weighty fabric. really flattering and true to size. i got a medium. comes in 3 colors. mine were cream.

we stayed at the mansion on forsyth park.

fantastically located in savannah.

i was able to get up and get my shoes on for a 20 minute walk around town before i needed to go back to bed and rest up before the wedding. (pathetic)

they picked such a gorgeous spot and can i just say this was one of the most sweet and special weddings i have ever attended. annie (your left) is a dear, old friend and to see her LEGALLY marry the love of her life was breathtaking.
