the guy on the far right that vaguely totally resembles the crypt keeper was my boyfriend.
the guy in the center smirking like its his job was our roommate and the cute girl with the short hair was his girlfriend.
the 2 girls in front- i have no memory of them.
but that monster stage right is hypnotizing us with it's arm of jewels.
you should know that not long after this picture was taken i cut that shit off and single-handedly brought back the dorothy hamill.

we had to put our dear old naggie to sleep this morning.
we picked her up as a stray off the side of the road 14 years ago.
she was called maggie for a while but that quickly turned into naggie because she was such a fussy little thing.
she kept to herself mostly but LOVED to be pet.
she purred right up until the end.
RIP naggie.
this time i actually do have some information to share.
granted it might not be interesting to you-
but it's information.

first up..
bangs.
i know what 99% of you are saying.
in fact i say this to anyone who asks me if they should cut bangs..
it's this..
you will enjoy your bangs for about a week.
after that you will rue the day you cut them.

but then i saw taylor swift's bangs..
i know.
i am like 800 years older than her.
does that mean i can't have bangs?
the color is amazing too.
i actually had this hair in college.
i think that means i should avoid it.
next up..
a cleanse i approve of.
mostly i think cleanses are whack.
they are such a shock to your system that you end up losing a ton of weight and then gaining it all back and then some OR you get really really sick bc of toxin overload or all of the above.
this cleanse is more like a diet.
it's called the food lover's cleanse.
it's 14 days and its 3 meals a day with snacks in-between.
and all of the recipes are pretty easy and interchangeable if you don't like something.
AND...most importantly..it's real food that the whole family can enjoy.
do it for a week..do it for two..
whatevs.
i'm starting it this morning.
breakfast was a caramelized onion 2 egg omelet with toast.
it was yummy and took me about 5 minutes start to finish.
so yummy in fact that on the way to drop fiona off at school this morning we were in carline and i farted, the director came to get fiona out of the car and said.."someone had a yummy breakfast this morning!"
true story.
OH! and the recipes in the cleanse are from all over...like bon appetit and various food blogs..which is great bc at the very least you have new sources for recipes for life in general.

and last but not least...
after many many months..
we are finally watching homeland.
we are only on the 2nd episode in the 1st season.
but it's so good.
one of those shows that completely locks you in for life and you feel like you'll die if you don't find out what happens next.

only not cocaine bc that would indicate someone had some money so let's say it was a massive pile of crank.
cut with baby aspirin.
and nightmares.
and probably colostrum then.
also i made a t shirt that pretty much sums up my thanksgiving...

back to the nightstands/bedroom..
i had debated painting them farrow and ball's babouche.
which is this color:
but then some smart decorating ladies were like...no that's crazy talk.
but i was like this yellow color looks so good with my deep forrest-blue walls.
and they were like..
why not try gold leaf?
it will give you your yellow but in a much more awesome way.
and i was like..
FFFFFFFF!
gold leafing is hard.
but i'll try it.
here are the nightstands in place..
they are not cute in their wooden state. they make my orange floors look the orangiest.
i can't seem to get a headboard in place, try as i might.
so i am going to have to settle for something i probably don't love.
unless the gods of craigslist are listening to my woes.
or..
if you are an upholsterer and want to trade a headboard for a painting or a song and dance number then let's talk.
mondays are dumb.
i have to go to target today and get my favorite cat litter (feline pine) and paper towels (target brand make-a-size)...
i never intended to go out on black friday but there it is..
