some things..
1.
a few of you have reached out (some not so nicely) about this new blog business..
i get that some of you like the old look..
what with the painting up top and all.
comparatively this is less fussy.
but that's what i wanted.
just simple.
but we listened anyway over here at MFAMB and if you look to the right you'll see a mini art slideshow.
yay for technology.
and yay for susie, again, for making it all happen.
2.
the font, say some of you, is too small for your grandma eyes.
well, we were right on top of that rose...
it is now about .55579% larger.
3.
some of you are also telling me that the pictures aren't loading or are just loading too slowly.
squarespace did a little cache zapping that may have helped.
also, susie tells me that when you look at a webpage multiple times , your browser will cache the images so, on consecutive views, it will load faster.
this means the more visits you make the faster this shit will get.
or you could just click the title of the blog post you wish to read and there will be fewer images to contend with.
god help you with the AHS recaps.

just don't tell me to start thinking about christmas.
even though i know it's like 50 something days from now.
and it is exactly 1 month until my birthday.
DO NOT remind me of that.
everywhere i look people seem to skip thanksgiving and move straight into christmas..
home depot is like the fucking north pole up in there.

yes, i have mentioned here that halloween is my favorite but let's face it...
it's really just the gateway holiday to fat-town.
all that candy gonna make you sick.
if i'm gonna get fat i want it in the form of
mashed potatoes swimming in butter.
collard gratin with a buttery bread crumb topping.
glorious, crispy skinned turkey
and the holy grail of thanksgiving..
tons of it.

thanksgiving is at my house and it's a small crowd.
so...
let's talk about the table setting.
i love this aspect.
of course i do.
but i don't love the fussy tables.
i want it to be about the food.
maybe a few candles and small flower groupings.
i tend to get fussier at christmas...but only marginally.
because that's an even smaller crowd.
so today i am sharing my thanksgiving inspiration with you..
simple is my favorite for thanksgiving.
this image is about the people and the food.
this might be as fancy as i get.
a plate on top of another plate means business.
ina knows a thing or two about a thing or two.
i think i post this every year. it's just so special.
create a mood in other areas.
you can leave this as is throughout the holidays.
this is so pure.
while i do love the earthy and natural tones for the thanksgiving table i am not opposed to a little color.
this is a good balance for me.

sadly though the whole outfit would cost a little over $1000.
minus the socks.
but i did find this dress for slightly less.

and..
they, unfortunately, aren't cheap either. but less than our inspiration shoes.

i had the AHS recap mostly written on thursday and then halloween and then i lost steam.
i was just putting the finishing touches on the post which essentially took me 4 days to write and when i went to publish..
it only published half of it and half is half-assed so i went to copy/paste it into a NEW post and then..
lost. all. of. it.
i hate me. i hate ryan murphy and i hate ALL OF THE EVERYTHING.
ok.
so i am going to do this kind of recap...
1. this episode was awesome.
2. lots of things to discuss:
a.) who is the supreme?
i think it's misty.
she can bring shit back to life with aligator doo doo.
although i think that's a front.
she brought herself back to life from a fire.
so either she is a phoenix or the motherfucking supreme.
3. delphine turned into a 70's sitcom maid.
i like her.
4. the little gay dude from will and grace was my favorite.
5. frances conroy has some seriously fat lady fingers.
